Bio
Rik Hagt was born in 1962 and graduated from the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen in
1992, specializing in drawing and painting. Since 2007, he has been creating a weekly
colored pencil drawing on A5 paper, which is published on his drawing blog that same
day. He draws inspiration for his work from his daily life.

Artist statement
My challenge is to do justice to the complexity of the world we live in while at the same
time achieving a clear and balanced composition.
