The artwork

My work is inspired by the industrial landscape, in which I combine imaginative forms with unusual scaling between the drawn elements. Some works presents a translation of the original. Through the use of lines and dashes, I aim to make the work as abstract as possible—pushing the boundaries while still retaining a sense of depth and visual interest.

Artist statement

My work is deeply influenced by my past experiences working in the industrial field. As a former laboratory technician and furniture maker, my memories of those times, as well as the impressions I had as a child visiting my father's factory, are the direct inspiration for my art. My drawings are a world of fantasy and imagination, consisting of lively factory halls, machinery, and spaces filled with stairs, pipes, silos and hatches. Through my drawings, I create a fascinating world that incorporates both real and imaginary elements. Additionally, I use pipes and pathways that guide the viewer through the entire drawing. I am passionate about infusing the industrial landscapes and equipment with beauty, wonder, and curiosity. My drawings are a testament to my ability to bring a creative vision to the gritty, mechanical world of industry. With my art, I hope to inspire people to think about the impact of industrialization on our lives and the environment, while also celebrating the ingenuity of human technology.
