Artist statement
What I’m looking for is a way to convey the concepts of ‘space’ and
‘movement’. Or sometimes, quite the opposite: the absence of space, the
silence.
I prefer drawing because of the freedom it offers me: I can draw anywhere,
wherever I want. Whether it’s on paper, in the sand, on a placemat in a
restaurant – I can even ‘draw’ with scent. So it’s unlimited.
And for me, drawing works the other way round too: I see drawings
everywhere: for example, in croissants, sea foam, and so on.
