It seems that Madlen Herrström has invented a posture that allows her to place herself alongside those who have always drawn the fundamental figures of the universe. It is no coincidence that the works of this artist are precisely grids (biomorphic or geometric) as if intended to hollow out the “flat depth” of her supports.

We could say that the background is only perceived through a network of lines, strips, filaments or plots to better attract us to it. Distant proximity: the works are regions where the geography, uncertain, seems to present itself sometimes in the mode of the “macro” sometimes that of the “micro”. This resulting from this, the beyond of these textures is assimilated to the future as to the past, which strangely become superimposable images. Herrström makes her work a screen where the effects of covering, transparency, but also weaving signal to anyone who will listen that this work is as much a matter of superposition as of juxtaposition.
