Bio
Kleopatra Moursela is a Greek artist based in Athens and work As an Assistant Professor at the Athens School of Fine Arts. With a background in Interior Design, Stage Design, Graphic Arts, and a Master's Degree in Visual Arts, her artistic practice spans the realms of painting and drawing. Kleopatra's work is deeply influenced by her fascination with Abstraction, particularly Geometric Abstraction, as well as early Renaissance painting, early European Abstraction, and Modernism.

With her unique blend of geometric forms, harmonious compositions, and a deep spiritual essence, Kleopatra's artworks have been exhibited in various galleries and exhibitions. 

Artist statement
In the realm of my art, I construct abstract landscapes infused with a profound spiritual essence, where colored geometric structures weave together to transcend the boundaries of our tangible reality. Within these vibrant compositions, memories, space, and time converge. These abstract landscapes serve as vessels that encapsulate memories, both personal and collective. They become spaces where the past converges with the present, and where fragments of our shared history coalesce into vibrant colors and geometric forms. Through grid and color, I define the essence of the existence of a memory transmuted into color and shape. My works are landscapes in the sense of Being.

Each artwork I create embodies a unique interplay of shapes, forms, and colors. Geometric elements harmonize or collide. In these constant explorations, I aspire to present a visual dialogue that transcends the limitations of the tangible world. 

My artworks are expressive yet deeply spiritual visual alternatives that transcend the boundaries of conventional representation. Moreover, my exploration embraces the concept of space as a transformative entity. Through the interplay of geometry, I delve into the fluidity of spatial dimensions, transcending conventional notions of time and place. Each brushstroke and compositional choice are a deliberate act, an endeavor to construct an immersive experience that defies earthly constraints.

As I continue to explore the vast possibilities of abstract painting, I am driven by a commitment to push the boundaries of my own artistic practice and challenge conventional notions of representation. Through my ongoing research, I strive to contribute to the rich legacy of abstract art, adding my voice to a dialogue that spans generations.
