Artist Statement / Bio
I am a visual artist based in Co. Westmeath. I am a graduate of the MA in Visual Arts Practice (MAVIS) from IADT and a Degree in Fine Art from Limerick School of Art & Design.
My most recent achievement is winning the 2025 Westmeath Artist Award, selected by Miguel Amado. Recent exhibitions include ‘Anthropomorphia’ at Complex Dublin, ‘Mammalia & Psyche’ at Limerick City Gallery of Art, and ‘Playroom’ at Roscommon Art Centre.
My work is included in several collections, including the National Collection of Contemporary Drawing, Rua Red Collection, OPW and NIVAL.
I am a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and textiles. My research-led approach develops through investigations into psychological, scientific, and esoteric domains. I draw on academic and cultural sources, as well as autobiographical experience, to inform my work.
My early work was self-reflective, examining motherhood and the inherited complexities of Irish society by employing the personal as a site of critical inquiry. My current research engages with esoteric and spiritual practices and discourses.
